return line leak
you guys are bad for my health... reading about your guy's fixes has worn off on the personal vehicle... that nice little rubber line behind the fuel filter housing decided to pop... not really; it's been the better part of 4 years since i replaced it last with a cheap piece of rubber hose soooo i can't complain. just wanted to be part of the group and let ya know; my stuff breaks too

well this is on the parents truck... it's 10 years younger than my truck... the 20 year old is sittin in the garage getting a face lift... i just replaced the rubber hoses ontop of the tank with some 5/16 viny tube... pretty cool to watch the fuel move... but when i put the supply line on there was air in the line.. it picked it up right away, after running it for abit idled fine no spit or stumble and no air comming back from the return... idk but that is 1st gen talk. gotta stand on my head tomorrow workin on the 2nd gen... gotta love that inconvenient location...

i wouldnt recomend using vynle tubing to run fuel threw

petroleum products are harder on rubber than anything else... atleast the vinyl tube is chemical and fuel reistant... we'll see how it works out... i'm not sayin your wrong but it may be a decent alternative. i didnt use the vinyl tubing for this repair... just used normal hose and figured i'd have to replace it again in about 3 years... diesel isnt kind to normal hoses. that's all that is around here so i use what i have

I had the same issue not long after installing my FASS unit the other year.With the high volume pump it really made for one mell of a hess.So I then began investigating my fuel line a little better and found the return line was looking gnarly back to the tank.I decided on just changing it also and went to the same size push-lok hose that the FASS uses and ran it from my regulator back to the tank.When I removed the factory lines from the frame I was amazed at how bad they were from the years of chemical salt used on the roads around here in the winter.Since I have done that 2 years ago I had not had anymore issues with my fuel system.
