Sounds like the linkage isn't engaging the sensor and leaving it out of range. Try installing the sensor on the rod while watching the tps voltage, turn the sensor to line up the bolt holes. Engage the sensor so that you must turn it counter clockwise to match sensor location and bolt holes.

sorry if you adressed this issue above, but did you check the adjustment on the cps?I got a bargain on my truck because the od went out and the last guy thought he needed a new tranny.turned out to be a bad cps.You can try replacing it or it might just need an adjustment.to adjust it put a thick business card in between the crank pully and cps and tighten it down.good luck.

I did not check that but I will. I put the tps (pot) delete on it today and it works great. thanks
