Default valve sticking maybe
When my truck is at an idle it sounds like i have an exhaust leak but its not maybe it is a valve sticking or somthing?

is it a ticking noise? if so does it seem to come from right under the drivers side door? if so it s probably your fuel pump. mine sounds like a pinhole exaust leak.

that and check your valve lash for clearance .020 exhaust and .010 intake

I also have a ticking noise that sounds like an exhaust leak. No exhaust leak, valves are good, put in a new lift pump and it still ticks.

Mine is definitely a tick. Sounds just like an exhaust leak.

i know i had i downpipe leak for a few months because i built my own and it wasnt sealed. it didnt sound like an ordinary gasser exhaust leak
