starting issue

Default starting issue

ok i have a fealing the contacts need replacing. ever now and then when i try to start the truck it just klicks. then i do it again and another single click. usually after about 3-4 clicks it starts. i have a fealing it is from cranking this think over so much when it looses prime. could have fried the contacts. is this in my best intrest to replace?

yeah that sounds like your problem, i replaced my starter when mine did this I didnt know about changing the contacts in them back then...man you could of had a perty CR for all the money you've put in that damn truck...

dude you have no idea. there is a 07 5.9 mega cab single rear wheel for sale with 200 miles for $22k here

that truck dont have all the performance goodies that this truck has, belive me i thought about it and get out of the world of diesel performance and leav it stock. once i get a kid on the way ill get rid of this blue turd and get a mega cab, once they drop in price

Sounds like the contacts to me. I installed the larry B's contacts even though I wasn't having a starting problem but it was just a matter of time. Why don't you fix your fuel leak so it will quite loosing its prime.

i did fix it last weekend, i think its from the past year of cranking and cranking on it, you figure if you pull the head 9 times, thats 9 times you have to prime it. ive bulled the injectors atleast 6 times different from the head replacement thats 6 more times of priming. and if you have to prime it for a combined total of 2 weeks of fuel leak thats an aditional 14 days. thats 29 different days of priming it with solid cranking on it
