He is giving out good advice here plain and simple. Don't hate on his experience. So your buddy got away with running 60psi of boost, great. Not all of them can take it and 95% of them don't. I have seen retourqued stock head bolt engines live for a while at 50psi or more, but they still let loose. It's just a matter of time.

So your saying I wasted my money on my 62mm turbo because I'm only pulling 40 psi out of it, which I could do with my hx35, and are therefore not making anymore power?
thats not what I'm saying when you changed your turbo to the 62mm you also changed the turbine wheel which pulls more air out of the engine allowing more cool air in which makes a difference in your power ... I'm just sayin if all he changed is his compressor wheel he should make more cooler boost

Cooler boost yes more boost no if all he did was change the compresser wheel have you bothered to check your boost guage I went from an autometer to a diprocal and they read different you may have a bad guage or like was said before a big damn leak

do you have a boost elbow or something of that sort? waste gate could be messed up (cracked open a lil) but i would think you probably have a boost leak

he went to a bigger compressor wheel how would he not gain more air flow on the compressor side?

He should have more air flow. It's not like he changed the exhaust side here folks, just the compressor side. He could have lost boost, but every time I have seen one of these put on they increase in boost and power. EGT's go down and the whole deal. I think he had a problem before. I mean come on, 27psi on an HX35 isn't crap.

Yes, you should be able to move it without a fight. If it is binding or hard to move it could be starting to get dirty and or rusty, or even be bent some how.

I FOUND A LEAK THAT I MADE WHEN I PUT THE TURBO ON .I FIXED THAT LEAK.YESTERDAY YOU COULD HOOK A AIR HOSE UP TP MY TESTER AND LEAVE IT WITH NO PROB.SINCE I FIXED THE LEAK I HOOKED IT UP AND IT BLEW THE TESTER OUT OF THE HOSE BEFORE I COUD UN-HOOK IT.I WENT UP THE ROAD AND STILL 25PSI.IT IS A MORE SOLID 25 IF THAT MAKES SINCE,BUT STILL 25.COULD IT STILL BE THE WASTE-GATE?YOU ARE NOT TESTING THE WASTE GATE WHEN YOU FORCE AIR IN ARE YOU?THIS IS PISSING ME OFF!

if the wastegate is plugged it shouldn't matter if its working or not you should still be getting more boost than that. where was the leak? did you check all 4 air to air boots? lower one on the intake side was bad on mine i guess they are kind of famous for going out. im going to replace the other 3 too just cause they are getting old... its cheap and doesn't hurt

sucks doing all the stuff you have done and not seeing the results you want!
