things i have done and the problems im having
okay so heres the down low
1994 CTD 5speed 160 WH1C turbo etc.. etc...
things i have done:
at first i put gauges in it pyro, boost, and im waiting for my fuel pressure
then i put a #8 plate in ATWF with the housing ATWF too "all the way forward" put a BHAF on it and the boost elbow with the set screw all the way in
then after reading more i built my own #100 plate and ground the barrel on the AFC arm .080 then swapped the washers got the arm to move a lot more etc... i have the star wheel cranked and the smoke screw adj to my likings also removed the silencing ring for good sound!
now the problems:
i got good smoke i mean its a smoke show if i want it to be. im not hitting anymore than 18-20 lbs of boost i can cap the waste gate off with the vise grips or something and i might get 25-27 lbs of boost... from what i understand my turbo with my mods should be over spinning itself with the wastegate capped off but i can't even get 30-35 lbs of boost
so im at a loss i dunno what im doin wrong but i think i should be upper 200's in horse power if not around 300?? am i wrong but my truck deff does not feel like that feels like im running at about 225 horse roughly! maybe 50 more than stock!
any idea's and suggestions would help
also could i be "drowing it with too much fuel"?

i just bought a 6 blade billet wheel and housing for a hx40,put on your existing exaust housing and you have a hx35/40 hybrid.i know alot of people like them.the reason i bought it is cause i turned the fuel way up(i mean i can hit 1600*)and the most i could get out of it was about 27# so i believe i'm drowning mine.i fuel real hard on the top.also look into a 3000gsk,i'm doing that also, you need fuel to build boost,i don't knoe where you're shifting at,but if it's much over 2000 rpm's you are defueling.
