Default water issue

ok i have had 4 different t-stats in this truck since the rebuild. 2 from federated auto-parts, 1 from napa ndt the current one from cummins. this thermostat dont open till about 210-215 on the guage. when i rebuilt the engine i put a new water temp sender in, could it be possible the sender is faulty. i bought a oil pressure sender from the same napa and it was faulty so i put a mechanical oil psi guage in and that solved that issue. im tired of installing guages that take place of the factory ones.

what does it run at once it pops?? 210 really isnt that hot for the engine. Could be the sending unit or the guage its hard to tell

well, its a new t-stat from cummins, the oil pressure guage was faulty from napa so why wouldnt the water temp guage? i gues the only thing to do is throw a mechanical one in, but i dont want another guage in the cab that i dont need

There was a recall on that but it was the tstat stayin open mine pops at 180 and never really runs hot even when I'm pullin the weird thing is my coolant just dissapears it doesn't leak anywhere but for some reason it is always loosing some even after I did my head gasket and studs even the guys at my local shop said its not in the cylinders or exhaust but it magically dissapears anyway

We all know how proud cummins can be of their parts, but they work the best the first time around. If it was me I would try to get the water temp sender from cummins and go from there if there are further problems.
