The HX55 is a lag pig, even those made in the hybrid form by some out there.
Not sure what your doing with your truck but if you street drive it then you may desire to stay with a S300 framed charger of some size to suit your needs. If you need to be a tad bigger than that many companies are building S465 framed chargers which although are slow to light they do hit hard and help cool things down.
I am heavily fueled with my 12v truck and I do daily drive mine so I chose a HTT Pro-Street 66/71/13SS for mine.It does have a touch of low end lag that may be a issue with a automatic truck but with my stick its easy to drive around.Once its lit and it hits hang on and go for the ride. The stainless steel housing helps alot with egt's spool up also.
While I can see that the HX55 your showing us is a cheap buy, cheaper may not always be better and in this case its very true......Andy

The charger on my truck came from a shop here local to me,Mid-Atlantic Diesel Performance.Lloyd is a High Tech Turbo dealer and the charger is what we felt would be the best compromise of what I was planning to do with my truck. You can either call HTT direct or aks them who your local dealer is and they can help you.

And yes that 55 would be a laggy pig! My partner Richard used to run a 55 hybrid. It did well for sled pulling. But he is running a Super B special now and it does great. It is just a daily driver now
