Default Exhaust Brake ?

I've got a bd exhaust brake I just recently put on my 95 12v. Since I've put it on my abs light has come on my cruise control stopped working and my hvac only comes out the defrost vents its like the brake takes up all the vaccum anyone got any ideas on how to fix this maybe a vaccum booster or somethin

hvac defaults to the defrost if there is a problem for safety problems cruise is probaly something with the abs not to sure it is all linked to the bd brake though is it messed up all the time or just when the brake is active

not entirely true. if there is not enough vacuum to operate the vacuum servo for the heater controls then it will default to defrost. my guess is he forgot to hook up a line and its sucking air somewere, been there. check all you lines and conections. also the cruise is also vacuum operated so thats the same story as the controls lack of pressure would cuase the same thing

The abs is also run off of the vaccum I guess what I'm wondering is how can I boost the vaccum pressure so I can operate everything and know its not just when the brake is on it also doesn't seem to be working right checked all the connections and no leaks I'm lost on this one

the only thing i can think of is a leak. if you leave it engagued does the heater vents work after time?

check for leaks again, does the brake work properly, was it used. might have a hole in the diaphragm, or one of the lines for the kit. its possible the vac pump is weak but when the bd kit activates it only uses enough vac supply to to fill the can to pull the valve closed and at this point the vac pressure should stabilize and become static but with a leak it will try to dump all vac pressure.

i have the same kit and nothing is wrong with mine.
