Default Motors Almost Complete Rebuild.

My dodge is 1996? Is the block the same as mine out of a 1st gen. I know the injecters are different. So could I put a new 12v 2 gen head on it and put it in my truck? Only reason I'm asking this is I got a motor gave to me. I'm going to gut the whole motor and rebuild the whole thing.I want almost ever thing to have zero miles on it. So if I can used this motor any Idea on speical stuff to put in it. Just trying to get a Idea. Because it going to be a street motor but I want it to be pretty mean. like on the edge for being road legal. thinking mile motor with twins? Anyone have any idea for me? How far should I bore it to There a scared sleave in it too.
