got trans back in and dshaft and i am now going to pick up some oil.
for the trans.the truck has not been ran for a week now, would it it be ok to test the clutch while the trans is low on oil and the rear tires are not touching the ground?
i am one big greaseball.

got oil in trans and the trucks clutch seems to be grabbing just fine.props to my uncle helping me out with that extra hand i needed.it is an autoz clutch so we will see how long it holds up.the one i took out before was also a clutch from there i beleive called luk.it was in bad shape with pieces missing but i am unsure how long and how many miles were on it.i was thinking of replacing my clutch with that brand as i have driven a 12v with one of those clutches in it.i going to recheck some bolts tommorow and make sure things are tightened up.
i drove it without the shifter cover on and it was some much louder in that cabin.i am considering some sound deading material in the cabin to block out some of the sound as i am thinking straight pipe soon too.

As long as their isn't a whole lot of mud underneath I can usually work it in and out of place with my hands after I get it tapped loose.

what are the tricks to get the crossmember out and in? i did mine with a biiig pry bar and a sledge hammer to get it out. but goin back in it was way to "spread out to fit right back in place" so i hammerd the ends of the crossmember so it could be started then used a jack to jack it in to place..it was the biggest pain in the *** i have ever encountered.. i would love some trick and tips for this part..
