My fuel problem
Gents,
I have a 1994 2500 2nd Gen with a P7100. Before I bought the truck, the driver was trying to fix a fuel problem by taking the lift pump off, changing the filter and R&R the tank. I rode in the truck daily and one day it would not start. He never got it running and I bought it.
I found out that the solenoid was not lifting when the switch was turned on.
I can manually lift the solenoid and it locks in place.
I can get fuel to the return line on the IP with the prime bulb but not to the injectors.
No one working on this truck are experienced with diesels.
Could the Injector Pump be bad? I am afraid He created problems by taking everything apart.
I cannot get it to start at all.
Any suggestions?

if your getting fuel to the return and not the injectors I would check and make sure the DV's are installed right and that the holders are not restricted.
if there alright I would pop the afc housing off and make sure the rack is moveing when you hit the pedal.
if the rack is moveing freely then you have a plunger/ barrel issue.
