auto trans shifting
My 97 is not shitfting correctly and trying to get some information. The tranny fluid is good
(checked in N) but the tranny does not shift correctly
. When I put the truck in "R" it takes a couple of seconds then jumps into gear. When i put the truck in "D" it will run in 2nd gear for about a mile while driving 35 - 45 mph then it will shift hard into 3rd and on up like normal
. I have noticed once the truck is at normal operating temp that the shifting is not as bad. I have read something on the web about the electronic governor would this have something to do with the problem? Where is this located
and can I test this on my own or do i have to have a machanic test it
? Thank for the help in advance.

Thanks for the info. I looked all up under the truck but did not see any leaks.
