do i need a KDP kit?

did not catch my KDP in time cost me 1800 dollars to have it fixed, wise to do it asap

Catch it in time it's not as bad as it looks, an easy driveway job to tab it.

Let it fall out and then go after it. Not a job I could do at home.

what do you mean an easy driveway job to tab it?

i would have to take off the bumper and the fan and ya thats a big deal

you can do it without tearing the from of the truck off, just the fan and the damper. It can be done. If you put your injectors in you can handle this.

The quick version of this:

Remove fan shroud.
Remove Belt.
Remove fan by removing 4 bolts on the back side of it.
Pull the Dampener
Pull bolts out of the front engine cover.
Tab
Check other bolts to be sure they are still tight.
Put it back together.

Takes most guys about 4 hours.

if i take it to a diesel shop wat do you tell them to do to the dowel pin?

ya tell them to tab the dowel pin or install a KDP kit

Unless somethin has changed the only alteration the dealer is authorized to do is put a new updated front gear cover on. To the tune of a grand or so.
