headgasket failure
Not to be a jerk but just because you spent alot of money on machine work doenst always mean it was done right. someone could have had an off day, and messed something up, did you check it b4you put it on....maybe the guy @ the machine shop has bad eyes...or the gasket could just be defected....I dunno, i have only built one engine and i have never really had that issue. the only time i had an issue with head gaskets is when i was younger i put a 04 hemi top end togeather and put the gaskets on the wrong bank.....got it all togeather filled it up and it leaked...not fun I hope you get it back togeather..
i'm not going to say that there's nothing to that theory, but when metal heats up it expands, wich means the head would actually be tighter when hot.when it cools off it will shrink, but not smaller than orig.there might be a little to it,but i've rebuilt a few,and after i tourqed them they were there,i tried to re-tourqe them and they wouldn't,still doesn't hurt,i'm just saying,he may want to look a little further than just slapping a new gasket and trying a different method of tightening.
also have the head checked for flatness again. normally everytime you pop a gasket it will need resurface
i checked it and it is flat, you have to use a thicker gasket when you machine a head so the valves dont come in contact with the piston, thats why they make oversized gaskets
