how much wouldit cost to turn my 94 4x4 auto to a five speed?

I heard if you have donor truck already with a 5spd fairly easy. I was originally going to do just that but couldn't find any 5spd's in my area.

my local shop said it wouldnt be worth it... he said that to switch my transmission to a manual stick shift and build it up it would cost $3300 and to just build up my auto he wants $2800

yeah but i like driving a manuel, i like a auto at times then other times i want to have some fun

hmmm, i know of a 94 5speed 12 valve, it has a blown clutch and rotted body, but ony has 145000 miles on it. if i had a job i would but it in a heart beat. the guy only wants 1000 bucks for it, and its in my town

spendin 500 more and getin a 5 speed would be worth it to me i just had my stock tranni rebuilt and a converter put in but its not beefed up so imgoin to get a ats valve body for it. then would i be able to add more power? and if so how much? i no even if the tranni will hold it the converter probly wont to long

Not bad if you can find someone to do a swap with. Or if you can find someone parting out a truck I have a 94 sitting here that I can get the pedals out of. The rest is gone. Other than the cluster.
