1997 2500 4x4 12 valve Cummins, running 10:41 in the 1/4 mile, just a little over 125 MPH. He made it to the finals and got beat by a bumper.

 

I saw that last nite, it was a shame how close it was...it wouldve been awesome to see him take it all

 

Great race.But he lost by a bumper!I bet he didn't want to give up his keys.

 

I liked the trail of black smoke he left, And the announcers dubbed the truck "The EPA's favorite drag racer" LOL

I agree, I bet he was not wanting to hand over those keys. That guy in the last race never would have won it without the nitrous.

If you go to you tube, there's a couple of videos that were shot by people in the stands, some of the comments that you hear in the back grounds are pretty funny. I guess folks are not aware of what these diesels can do if you build them right.

I'm pretty sure it was pinks all out. I know they were somewhere in Georgia and the diesel made it all the way to the finals where he got beat by, literally a bumper!
The announcer was saying that this guy was launching in four wheel drive and then switching to two wheel drive after he got rolling.
