Also ! Don't buy fuel during or 6 hours after the station has filled up !

Think of all the junk that is stirred up from the bottom of the tank !!!

And i like to stick with one gas station only, i hate switching back and forth cause if i have any issues with it, i can always be certain at whom to point the finger at !

We had quite a few D-max's come in to the shop with some weird crapola in the tank. and they couldn't remember who they bought it from..

Yeah thats true.. very true. But my "little guy" gas station down the road is very up to date on everything except his fuel regulations haha he still has 500ppm My 12v loooooooves that stuff!!

If you guys want to know a couple more little secrets.. buy your fuel in the morning. Its more dense and you get more fuel for your buck. Also if you leave the pump put it on the slowest setting, each nozzle has a small return vacume line so it can breath. Too much splash back in a small pickup truck tank results in alot of fuel being sucked back into the pumps. My family use to own Petreco Oil here in Ohio years ago, learned a few secrets haha

Hmm... I have my own fuel tank at my grain elevator, rusty ol thing. No problems yet. That could have something to do with the 4 jumbo fuel filters on the tank though

i respect you assumption about the junk at the bottom of the tank, but the sump pumps in the tank pick fuel up from the bottom all the time. they also return fuel which can keep it stirred when pumping. just like fuel pumps/pick-ups in truck fuel tanks

i have seen stations filter their fuels to 30micron rating. some even go down to 10micron. most filtration systems do no bypass.
