Default 12v to 24v block

my buddy burnt a piston, we had a spare 24 valve complete he jerked the head and put his head on it without changing the pistonsIs this going to be a major problem, is the cup of the piston in the same location on a 12v and 24v

my buddy wanted to do it cheap I told him it wouldn't work but he insisted that it would, where can I find the injector lines to put the 24 valve head back on and keep the p7100

The reason the pistons wont work is the 24v piston are a centered bowl and the 12v are offset. Thats not all that won't work. If you were using the 12v short block i.e. block pistons, crank, rods and cam. The 12v cam will not work with the 24v valve train. There are different rocker ratios between the two. It may work but you will hinder performance.

On another note... the 24v p7100 line can be made by using the stock 24v line and re-bending them. This is what I did and saved around $600 bucks. But, its crucial you are careful and take your time when bending them.
