ok so do the 3rd gen folding mirrors not fit at all? or do they fit on the truck but just dont have power or heat?

 

3rd gens will not fit a second gen at all. If you have power mirrors, they sell power style tow mirrors direct fit for second gens.

 

i know they fit 24v, they do or dont fit on the 12v?

 

i know they wont fit on the older 12v... but u have to look at your mirrors... are they attached to the door or are they kinda in the window area like the 3rd gens... bc if they are in the widow with the same shape base they should fit... i got some on my 99 dodge but they didnt come on it from the dealership someone put them on

 

3rd gen mirrors fit on 3rd gens.... simple as that.

3rd gen is 03 and up.... 2nd gen is 02 down to 94

 

ok i understand that 3rd gen fits 3rd gen, but are the 2nd gen mirrors the same for 12v's and 24v's?

 

yes 94-02 2nd gens are all the same.

 

ok thanks i was just making sure because i see all the 24vs's with them but i have yet to see a 12v with them

 

you can get a set for a 99 ram with power and heat and they will fit just fine, little bit of wireing and thats it
