well **** a vlave body is like $500 i dont have enough to buy that right now...
how much should it cost to get a torque converter installed? my local diesel shop just quoted me for $590 just for installation

 

that sounds about right autos arent cheep, 600 mite be a bit much you could do it yourself, if it were me and you didnt have enough to build up your tranny i would move you fuel plate back or put the stock one in. i toasted my clutch with just a 5 plate and that was it

 

it is the stock one haha, i had a guy in college weld class trim it down to a #100

 

well you might want to back it off then if you cant afford a built tranny, if i can taost a stock clutch with a #5 plate you will be able to taost a stock tq converter with a #100 plate easily

 

You could install a Transgo shift kit in your valve body and get a pretty big improvement over stock for under $100. Part number SK-TFOD-Diesel. I was going to install one in mine this weekend but the kit arrived with parts missing.
