Transfer case question
#5
I just bought the truck today, basically all i can think happend was the front u joint broke and the drive shaft hit the ground and just grenaded the case as it needs a front u joint and t case. When i went to go look at it there were pieces missing of the t case and the guy didn't know much about it or how it got broke. The actual owner was out of town.If any one knows of dhd t case let me know please and thank you for your time.

I'm currently rebuilding my 241dhd. Might take me a while to get it done though. Maybe a week or two. If you need it sooner oh well. Finding a transfer case for mine was a PITA so I upgraded to a 271. It is an option for you as well. It doesn't take a whole lot of modifications for it to fit.
Slight clearanceing on the frame rail and body(possibly) as well as (maybe) shortening of a driveshaft. Shift linkage might neeed to be changed(haven't got that far on my swap yet) and the 4wd switch needs to be swapped from the old one to the new one. And you'll need the 271s Output yoke as well as it has a bigger output shaft.(another thing I'm stuck on)
I've got some pics in my album of it installed in my truck. However mine is an ECLB and a 6-speed so It will look a little different than on your truck.
