I wasn't clear about turning the idle up. from what smokedout said I thought he wanted it higher than factory

its most likely just a pull cable in the cab rather than the throttle

yeah alot of my buddies trucks are idled up and they love it. They all keep telling me I need to do it. I thought maybe it mite spool up a little quicker.

i dont see why it wouldnt, i have mine idaling at 900rpm in nuetral, lowers the fuel milage but thats it

Its a cable with a twist **** on it attached to the throttle. I turn it to the left and it boosts the idle. there is a big red button on it that I push to release it and the motor idles down.

when its cold out, when I come home from work I turn up the Idle to 875-900 and shut the truck off. In the morning I open the door, put the key in, let the glow plugs warm up, and start it. I don't even get in. After breakfast (15 mins)the truck is warm, Ice is melted and I go to work.

works great!!

wont be able to buy one aftermarket but you shouldnt have a hard time making one if your creative and mechanicaly inclined

Ya like evil said, my auto was ideling way to low when i first got it and if you mashed the skiny pedal the truck would stall out in reverse once you let off, kinda wierd but i turned the idel up to like 850 and she never stalls out on me
