Whats the good and the bad about idling your truck up and how do you do it?

What's it at now?
Here's a pic of where you adjust it. Just loosen the nut then loosen the bolt to idle it up. Then tighten the nut back. Attachment 53796 |
if its a manual you want it to idal at abot 850 if its a 5 speed you want it abut 700-800

Turning up the idle higher isn't good for a auto trans because in slams into gear a bit too hard, and if your truck is a manual it will want to roll alot faster w/o touching the pedal.
turning it up isn't a good idea |
