Default Overfull on Transmission Fluid.

What are your thoughts on overfull transmissions? Anyone know of any problems it can cause?

the 2nd gear band adjustment has an allen/nut... the fluid will leak from this location.

if its really full, it will leak out of the weep hole at the very top of the transmission above the input shaft.

dont' ask how i know

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

fluid gets hot or boils, it will shoot out the dip stick and start a fire.

it will puke out what it doesnt want. but it has to be pretty darn overfull. if you dont mind making a little mess just start it up and loosen a cooler line and let some out. being overfull is alot better than under.

the easiest way to get trans fluid out without taking the pan off or loosening any lines is to buy a suction gun($6) and connect a long clear rubber hose to it and suck the trans fluid out of the trans dipstick tube till you get the correct fluid level
