You will get all your fuel before the turbo gets the air in. More heat and smoke.

I wouldn't gut the AFC, IMO tuning it is a better option. You can grind the foot of the AFC lever, switch the position of the washer around the diaphragm, and tune the star wheel or replace the spring to change spring tension and pre-load for when your fuel comes on.

Running without the AFC sounds neat but its alot of drive by feel. You don't have boost to fuel control and its pretty easy to "put out the fire" with alot of low end fuel.. As was said before, changing the AFC foot geometry for full rack travel and or/changing the spring for better tuning is my recommendation.

Default What does grinding the foot do?

I am wondering how does the grinding the foot help?

More rack travel, if you've got the plate for it. With some plates, grinding the barrel/foot won't do anything, simply because the profile is too conservative. A #0 plate is the only time I could see one grinding the barrel/foot for max travel. I think it's 21mm or something around there.
