is there anything special i have to do to remove it and what does doing ths do

 

it just gives less restriction for the air to flow thru, not really sure its even worth the time to take it out IMO your not going to gain that much more flow

 

if you're injecting water or meth atthe air horn, the heater can cause premature pooling by collecting the spray on it's surfaces. Took mine out. Just undo the hardware and remove them, then tap the holes left behind to 1/8 NPT and put plugs in them. I heard one guy that had his grid heater relay(s) stick closed, he didn't know it, and when the meth sprayed it set up a nice little incident in the intake tract. Tru or not...who knows. I know a water/meth blend won't ignite like that, and if he was running 100 % then he had bigger problems going boom in the motor anyway. My .02

 

You will need it when the temps start dropping below freezing, but other than that, you can ditch it if you like. Im also going to second the statement that if your planning on removing it because its a restriction, dont bother.
