Default thermostat

anyone know what temp a thermostat for a 12v is suposed to pop at, the one i bout is a 180* thermostat but when it was the oil, water sludge mix in my radiator it didnt pop till 195* does something sound off here

Mine usually pops at the 180/190* temp area.I'm trying to find the repair book for my truck right know to get the right temps.

let me know if you find one and were im needing the torque specs for my 12v head and oil cooler bolts to set the gaskets corectly

According to my book.The thermostat for a diesel egine is supposed to open at 188-degrees f.

is your book one of thos harvys or harlin repair manuals?

if you want tourqe specs go to your local dodge dealer and ask them to print them out for you. thats what i did.

Me either.good idea.But i got the torque specs from Haynes Repair Manual.
