year when I change coolant and flush the system I change the T-stat. I just pick pu a new one at NAPA and drop it in.

But to this day I've got 135K miles on my truck and never had a cooling system problem. My radiator and block are spotless...

According to my trucks temp gauge, my old thermostat was opening at about 180, my new thermostat opens at just a hair over 190 on the guage. I'm curious, when your thermostat opens, does your gauge drop all the way back to 140?
