So i'm still planning on getting a 12v to put in my 71 ford truck. But which is the best? I plan on putting some power in it to the tune of 500-700 hp in it. But what would best suit my application? The reason I want to do a 12v is b/c of the lack of electrical work that needs to be done. Some inputs would be great guys. Thanks! lucas

 

all the 2nd gen 12v (94-98) are great engines, if your modifying that much it shouldnt matter what one you go with. the newer ones have a little more power from the factory.

 

96-98 12Vs with std transmissions are the most desireable engines as the P-7100 injector pump in them is 215 hp.
