Default i think this is the last issue

i dont know if the is just me, but say when my oil presseure hits 40 right after i start it, when i go to back up then let out of the gas it it dies, start it again, back up, die. its like the rpms drop so low it kills its self. I give it gas while holding the break to keep the r's up, go about my business, then parking when i get back home then it dosent do it any more. I dont think its a fuel issue because it comes out of it.

What is your idle set at (in gear)??

yup sounds like the idle is too low. check your idle in gear with the A/C on. it should be 750-800 rpm.

its an auto, in gear about 750 with out ac on, IIRC

Thing that puzzles me is it only does it when it's cold. I'd say either the fuel shutoff is going (not opening all the way until warm) or the injector pump.

Bump up the idle slightly and see if that helps it. The factory tach is not very accurate. In fact the repair manual says to use a different one.

If you have replaced your Governor springs you must put the stock outer spring back on , we left them off once and it did the exact thing your stating

no gov. springs. but ill try to bump up the idle this weekend, ill post on here with my results. thanks
