I tried the trick. When i pushed in on the bulb thing, i could feel the fuel pumping through and it seemed like the clicking got quieter or went away, it is hard to tell with how loud the 12 valve is. However, the clicking is definitely related to the fuel system. It seems to be loudest at the fuel tank, maybe that just because it is farthest from the engine and i can hear it better, and the clicking is in rythem with the fuel pumping in the lines. so what do you think

You can keep driving it until bigger problems show themselves. The 12V is a great machine because the injector pump is not lubed and cooled by fuel. If your truck was a 24V you would have a problem on your hands.

Maybe, do what Benjamin suggested and throw in a queart or two of TCW-3 2 cycle oil and see if that does anything.

 

Well that is true about the crack in the case. Usually. The lucky ones the dowell pin falls down and it sounds like marbles in the motor.

 

would it be just as easy to put a fuel pressure gauge on it as long as i'm messing around with buying parts???

If i just let this go till it fails will i hurt the injection pump or will it just stall and thats all she wrote?

No update so far - wasnt a big issue so we will all this one resolved.
