Years ago I had to deal with the killer dowel. I was fortunate that it only cracked the geartrain housing. Replaced the housing and gaskets to fix this problem. I am now experiencing oil leakage along the seam where the housing mates with the block. Is this a common problem of oil leakage between these components? The leak is on the right side of the housing and seems to originate behind the fan hub mount. Any insight into this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
