Came across a 1997 12 valve for 5 grand got it down to 3500 it's a 5spd 4x4 with 263xxx my only problem with it is the old oil smelland steady steam that comes out of the oil fill tube and dip stick tube runs good turned up and had 4k springs and no gauges from what I could see need a answer fast

 

It's not a bad deal if the truck is in good shape otherwise. Sounds like it's got some significant blowby, but this shouldn't cause you too many problems unless you turn it way up and drive it hard. Even then, the worst problem blowby will cause is you won't be able to keep the seals from leaking. If you don't care about leaving oil drips everywhere you park there's probably still tons of happy life left in it even turned up.
