Go to that link and read what I did. I had the same problem and couldn't find out what caused it so I did my own thing and it worked

Thanks Mahir. I will touch back with how it goes. I would really like to find the cause though. Are there any other sensor that could short and shut down the PCM?

I'm not sure what else can make it go bad the ess is usually the biggest prob unless you change out the pcm but that's unlikely the cause.

Sorry for the long delay. In my case, the wires to the tps had broken, shorted, and fried the PCM. After ensuring there were no other breaks and rubs in the wire looms, I replaced the PCM. Problem fixed.
