For any kind of performance build IMO they are necessary on 12 and 24v's

Performance of course. I don't know if Id suggest it for a stout hauler or just slight up grades but it's definetly worth the investment

IMO, studs are cheap insurance. If you're going to start turning up the boost, they should be done. Not because 35, 40 or even 45psi of boost necessitates them though- it doesn't.
Only because power is so addictive and, more importantly, easy to make with these trucks that it's better to just get it done up front so you don't get caught with your pants down later.
