Difference between 7500 gvw and 8800 gvw rotors?
Shopping around to put new brake pads and rotors on my 1997 2500 cummins. Some manufacturers post the specifications and have a different type and model # for each gvw. Is there any difference? The truck is just a wood hauler and wont be a daily driver, but putting the right brake components on it is something that I obviously need to do. Thanks!

That's what I was figuring but some manufacturers state that this rotor is for a 7500 gvw or this is for a 8800 gvw. Is there any difference in the rotor themselves? Because other manufactures just have one rotor for the 1997 dodge 2500 4x4
The 2500 rotors for 8800gvw are thicker than the ones for 7500gvw, otherwise the same. This is why the 8800gvw ones are more expensive, there's a lot more metal. You can use either ones, but I wouldn't try to use the 7500 pads with the 8800 rotors or vice versa.
