Default 1995 cummins turbo

So I have a 1995 cummins with a new stock hx35w turbo. The turbo has billet internals and wheels. The waste gate on the new one is in a totally different spot than the factory turbo. It totally blocks my oil return line from the turbo. My question is if I took the waste gate off completely would it hurt anything? What are the effects of running no waste gate on a turbo designed to have one?

Overspeed is the issue you will run into by blocking off or removing the wastegate. The housings can be rotated by unbolting the 4 bolts on the turbine housing it should be able to be rotated back to the stock place.

Already tried that. The only way it may work is if I put the turbo on and install the oil return, then put the waste gate on
