Hey guys I have a question for you my old man is doing a 12 Cummins swap into a 67 Chevy c-10 2 wheel drive and he was wondering what are his options for transmissions and what would be the best one suited for his project? The motor is pretty much stock now besides 4 gsk and fuel plate. Don't know what he all plans on doing but any info now to get it going would be great.

I would stick with a built 47rh .. I have one in my 2500 and its working out great, tows awesome, and its fast, I can shift up and down 2nd gear lock up or down for exhaust break usage ..

i personally went with the 4l80e that was in my chevy truck, in the process of a new cummins swapped chevy. auto world hooked me up with all the brackets, mounts, adapters and flywheel swell as a pcs controller for the trans. which will be built by jakes performance in texas and it has a precision industries triple disc custom converter. if your dad decides with an auto id defiantly suggest the 4l80 since you can electronically control it unlike the dodges.
