I just got my cummins and I don't know if it is normal that it won't let you start it with the parking break on or pushing the break but mine doesn't. Anyways I was at the fueling station and I went to start it up to pull off and the break light wouldn't shut off even though nether where on. I know this because I pushed it off to the side. I know the starter is fine because we had to jump start it and it started fine and ran great.
Any ideas what the problem is?

Does it have an aftermarket alarm? Some people install them with all kinds of crazy secondary triggers that have to be followed to start. I had an old Camarones that you had to hold the wiper switch when turning the ignition or it would not start. This was to deactivate the alarm system.
