Default 1998 Dodge Ram 2500 engine coolant problems

Okay my friend has a 98 2500 just turned the fuel pump up other than that completely stock. He was driving and heard a pop and the engine overheated and noticed engine coolant running down the motor but not out of the radiator. We can still start it and drive until it over heats. But I poured a glass of water trying to find the leak and it was coming out to a spot around the front too part of the motor. I think the water pump location. Trying to get this beast back on the road need help ASAP

I can pour about a full glass but I feel like it drains all of it but probably about 3/4 of the glass

No need to pull Engine ..

Pull Cylinder head , have it decked, install factory thickness HG, studs if you like to make big power ( E-bay 417$ ) ... a few re-torques after the HG is done , ( Make sure your rocker pedistals decked .200" @ Bolt/stud hole ) ..

Its not a complete tear down .. I have a leaking HG too , I daily drive mine and just keep an eye on the water level ( i no longer run coolant just incase it goes into crank case as this WILL wipe out bearings ... FAST !!) ...

Keep us posted ..

Are there any threads on the procedure to fix this or will it have to be done by a shop?
