Not to change the subject, is there a way to check "proper depth" on an injector if you are unsure if they are set right?

ther eare three chamber gaskets. my sizes might be off but i believe they are .020, .040 and .080 i have never seen a STOCK truck come apart with anything but the middle size chamber gaskets. i run the thin ones on my truck. the fatter the washer the better the sealing properties. but it really doesnt matter much just keep all 6 the same.

So those are the washer thicknesses?
So for an example if you had your head machined and then put your stock washers back in, your injectors would be further in the chambers?

simply yes... if you change the thickness of the head and use the same thickness head gasket then yes the injector tip is going to be however much you machined the head further into the bowl of the piston. theroetically the thinner the washer the more timing you have. it is such a tiny tiny amount it is neglegable.

Ah ok, could that tiny amount make a big difference?
