Sorry, brain fart. For some reason "water" did not translate in my head as "coolant", even after looking at it three times.

Yes they are I should have said coolant not water, have you seen any of the powermax gt3782r units in person? If you have is the turbine housing bolted on or held on with a v band?

Personally I think that charger would be sweet in a twin set up if money is not an issue, there stage 2 unit with the internal wg is the one I would like

we still havent seen many of them come in the door. i think its still a -fad to come- ive heard good things from a properly spec'd ball bearing but havent had the chance to ride shotty. So no i couldnt tell you how they go together. I had the chance at the extravaganza last year to get a good look at borg's new ball bearing line. they are utilizing a different material in the turbine wheels which are much lighter then inconel. something like half. they look sweet and the idea is cool but again i havent seen on on a truck or have any experience with them. i also believe they are ceramic ball bearing

I see, the gamma ti turbine or something like that is what is in the borg efr's have not heard a lot about them really.

On the garrett I have heard good things about trucks running them as a single on mild power trucks (450 ish) but nothing for twins

same here. i was thumbing through an old diesel tech mag earlier and they had a 12 valve compound build with a GT3788R over a GTX4202R, claimed they were worth 1000hp together. it was a decent read. im still however not a big garrett fan. the quality of everything on them is very sub par when compared to a holset or schwitzer turbo. why do you think every turbochargerd truck coming out of the factory doors comes with a garrett? price. cheaper parts makes the big companys more money. most of them we wont even reman, its just cheaper to replace.

I'll have to see if I can dig it up, only thing is that 3788r has a slightly bigger turbine than the powermax unit exducer is 2mm bigger

says here the 3788 is a 64mm compressor inducer and a 68mm turbine inducer. says nothing about exducer size. the 4202 is a 75mm comp and a 105mm ind turbine
