Did you experience white smoke and a pop? Those are the most common low fuel pressure symptoms I've seen!

Yes,sirBut the truck ran fan after i change the fuel filter,but i replaced the lift pump a couple days after just cause it had 200k on it

It has good throttle when in park but not in drive haven't done the fuel filter yet can't find the wrench I need for it but I know I have one, of it was a fuel problem wouldn't she smoke?

No,she wouldn't smoke cause its starving of fuel and when she does smoke its getting to much that it doesnt burn!Just change the fuel filter and see if that was it and if not,change the lift pump and if still does it your going to have to get more deep into it!Does it have a lope at idle?

Now thats changes somethings,You might have air getting into you fuel,leaking injector line things like that?

The most common low fuel pressure symptom is white/blue smoke and a pop. So your seriously going to tell this guy to replace his lift pump without checking his pressure? Without checking for the possibility of a bad overflow? A leaking afc boost reference? Don't you think an injector line would cause a hard start and misfire not a power loss above X rpm?

He never mentioned a harsh clicking noise which is do to a bad overflow valve and and wouldn't a boost leak cause lots of black smoke and a loss in power?A little lope i thought that would have to do with air intrusion?
Not trying to start an argument this is just coming from my little bit of knowledge and there is no doubt you no way more than me.

I'm not saying your giving bad information or trying to down you. I'm just trying to avoid us telling someone to replace parts without required data to condemn those items. Maybe there should be a sticky on diagnosis of items like this.
If I've learned anything from my Stent in the automotive field it's that no 2 trucks fail identically. The overflow can fail and be silent, a boost leak at the afc reference line will prevent the afc from traveling while still too small to cause major drive ability issues aside from low power, however that typically is an issue while accelerating. Just trying to say we need more data before changing parts.
My plan of attack would be a fuel pressure gauge installed and re create the problem. If pressure is low while it occurs we move that direction if not we look elsewhere. Another concern is the truck actually malfunctioning or operating within the typical range and the owner feels it's doing something wrong that's completely normal. My question for that would be did the problem just start, come on slowly or has it been occurring since you've owned it?
