Looking into possibly Frankensteining a 3LJ-319 turbo "aka whistler" turbo off of a m35a2 duece onto my 12v. Absolutely love the way they sound, can't honestly find too much on specs of this turbo.
Anyone out there ever try this swap, look into, or know much about them?
Don't use the truck to tow anymore, just a power toy

what year deuce? those old turbos are normally HORRIBLY undersized and poorly designed. I in all ways would try to push you in a different direction!

 

Haven't actually decided on a specific year, just a specific model of turbo, really loved the sound of those old trucks. Plus the price was right on them. What would you recommend, got an hx35w in mine hitting 42psi.
Should I just stick with this one? Save for a fleece holset cheetah haha

 

why a cheetah? you wanting to stay in work stock rules? put a properly speced s300 on your truck and be done.

 

I agree .... talk to ddp or air werks .... they can help you spec a turbo for your set up .... much easier than just tossin parts at it .... hard on the wallet ..
