Tired of the BS with upgrading mechanical lift pump

That may be the case, I definitely am scared because of all the bad rep I've read about the problems with the electric lift pumps...

I've read lots of problems with the stock mechanical one too, but mine is still putting 30psi through the filter at 3K. Granted, I don't know how it would be at 3500, but... regardless *disclaimer* I only read the first article, however, that article seemed to be making a very strong case that the reason why the factory LP is so inefficient actually has nothing to do with the LP at all, but with the rest of the fuel system. Maybe I need to read the others, but they seem pretty adamant that the LP isn't actually the problem.

seriously .... if your fuel pump and injectors are mostly stock a FASS or a raptor or even a Holley should be just fine .... any fuel pump ever built .... has its breaking point and yes ALL PUMPS WILL FAIL .
especially if you winding it up to 4K freequently .....
you could also run dual feed and be done with it ... one regular and one electric ... what the guys with duals do all the time .... seen it with my own eyes...... put a valve between in feed on both and your safe .... if the electric fails close the valve and stay off the stupid pedal ..... fix electric and al is better ... no big deal ..... also run some sort of lubricant in your fuel ... will help keep pump happy for longer

4x4manonbroke, when you say to run duals, do you mean in parallel? Having two systems independent from one another that join in a Y connector to the fuel pump so you can shut one down if one fails?

H.R.D, That's good to hear! I guess all these guys burning up their lift pumps are pushing them to max fuel all the time?... which I won't be doing.
