Pulling tips
I would like to know some tips to pulling. I have done it in a manual but not automatic. The truck is a 96 12v with 684hp. Big single turbo (s472 .9ar) starts making 10psi at 1800rpm and 60psi at 2200 rpm. 250hp injectors, pump work, cam, built gorerend tranny. I am installing suspension stops this weekend and putting my ladder bars on this after. I would like to pull in D if i can to get some speed. I also have the tps delete so i can choose my shift points. I can make the truck shift at anytime up to 3500rpms. I am thinking D direct buy turn the **** to about 2800 rpm to allow for shifts. Should this be in 4HI or 4LO? or should i do it differently?
u go into drive its gonna fall on its face. 4Lo start in first then second and let her eat. pump the brakes and ease into the throttle till you feel the truck and chain stretch, then slowly ease off the brake and into the throttle.
I second this
right as you feel the pan hit unlock your converter. A bigger gear will not help the falling on its face issue and to get more wheel speed you need more horsepower.

But when the pan hits I'm gonna lose my rpms without maintaining that wheel speed. This turbo doesn't make good boost till 2100rpm so I'm thinking more 4lo Drive, turn my shift points to 2700rpm and before the pan hits unlock the converter
