Default Lights turn off and on when hitting bumps

Lights turn off and on when hitting bumps. what wires are faulty and how hard is this to fix? 1996 dodge 2500 4x4 cummins 12v automatic

when you say lights , do you mean headlamps or all lights including IPC lighting. If only exterior lighting is only affected , a high resistance load or ground wire is most likely the culprit, depending on your ability to chase wiring this could be a very simple job or a real pain in the neck, I would start with the headlamp switch , wich have been known to cook, wiggle it simulating hitting a bump and see if there is a reaction, inspect the connector for burnt condition then follow the schematic to next area downstream , also check bottom side of PDC for corrosion good luck

the wire leading to the headlamps was corroded had to get new ones it was the ones connecting the headlamps. easy fix!!
