Lights turn off and on when hitting bumps

when you say lights , do you mean headlamps or all lights including IPC lighting. If only exterior lighting is only affected , a high resistance load or ground wire is most likely the culprit, depending on your ability to chase wiring this could be a very simple job or a real pain in the neck, I would start with the headlamp switch , wich have been known to cook, wiggle it simulating hitting a bump and see if there is a reaction, inspect the connector for burnt condition then follow the schematic to next area downstream , also check bottom side of PDC for corrosion good luck
