Ok guys I have a 1997 cummins 3500 flat bed I already have fuel plate shaved star wheel turned pretty much all the free stuff I have it straight piped is there anything else' I can do for free or little money ?

 

block the wastegate or get a boost elbow for more boost. timing adjustment

 

I already blocked the wast gate is the timing adjust ment hard

 

it doesnt take to to long but there is a lot of steps. theres a couple really good step by step right ups if you google it.

 

If I do it how much hp will I gain

 

it will run a lot smoother. with the mods you have you would be happy with like 16* i think. as you increase fuel (if you plan on doing that) you can increase the timing more as you see fit. the stock timing on these trucks are known to slip because of poor torquing from the factory. when you start the truck cold and it breaks down if you rev it about about 1300 ( starts to cut out sharply) then it needs to be re timed anyway.
