hey guys was wondering if anyone knows if the 47re or rh have a spot to install a pto on them im trying to convert my dump from eletric over hydro to a pto dump not to familiar with these trans havent pulled one out yet so i wasnt to sure fig id ask and see if anyone can give me some knowledgable info.. the auto has no place for a PTO. if your truck is a 4x4 and you have the np241hd transfer case it will have a place for a t-case driven PTO. they are inconvenient for some application because the transmission has to be in drive and the transfer in neutral. but for a dump application it would probably be alright. The other down fall to these PTO's is that they can be run in reverse which can be disastrous unlike the 5 speed PTO's which depending on the side of the tranny there mounted on can only be run one direction.

Great info thanks! I did find a kit. but its pretty pricey not really likeing the fact i have to keep it in d or r. to dump to much crap involved just to dump a load and with most of my guys will prob destroy the thing within the first week so i think im just going to stick with my slow elet. over hydro for now...
